How to Copy a Pinterest Pin Link (Every Device)

Before you can download a Pinterest pin, you need its URL. Here's the cleanest way to copy it on every device — including what to do when the app share sheet hides the link.

On iPhone (Pinterest app)

Open the pin in the Pinterest app, tap the Share icon (square with arrow), then tap Copy Link. You'll get a short pin.it/<id> URL on your clipboard. Both pin.it short links and full pinterest.com/pin/... URLs work in PinSavePro.

On Android (Pinterest app)

Long-press the pin thumbnail, then choose Send → Copy Link. You can also open the pin and tap the three-dot menu → Copy Link. Same pin.it short URL format.

On desktop browser

Open the pin on pinterest.com and copy the URL directly from your browser's address bar. It'll look like https://www.pinterest.com/pin/123456789012345678/. This is the canonical pin URL.

On mobile browser (no app installed)

Open the pin in Chrome, Safari, or any mobile browser, tap the address bar, and Copy. This is the cleanest URL form — no tracking parameters, no app-share wrapping.

When the app share sheet doesn't show Copy Link

On older Pinterest app versions, the iOS share sheet may default to Send (DM) and hide Copy Link. Swipe up on the share sheet or scroll the icon row — Copy Link is usually the last option. As a fallback, share to Notes or Messages, then copy the URL from there.

How to know you have the right link

A valid pin URL starts with pinterest.com/pin/ or pin.it/. Profile (pinterest.com/username/), board (pinterest.com/username/boardname/), and search URLs are not pin URLs and won't work in any downloader.
